ACTS Craft Club

Date(s) - 09/01/2019
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Hanbury Chapel

We began the ACTS Craft Club in 2011 when we became aware of the increasing need for adults with learning difficulties to have somewhere in the week where they might go, which would not cost a great deal. At present about eight people come to the Club on a regular basis, so the atmosphere is friendly and non-threatening. Volunteers from the church help out and carers are always welcome.

We meet every Wednesday in school term time between 10 am and 2 pm on the church premises.

The morning sessions include sewing and other craft activities, with a break for drinks.

We all bring our own lunch and eat together.

In the afternoon we play games and have a Bible story, some singing and finish with a prayer.

The cost per week is just £4.

We generally have an outing at the end of June/ beginning of July and at Christmas we have a party and carol service to which relatives, carers and friends are invited

We take safeguarding very seriously and our policy and procedures (developed in the first instance for children and young people) also apply to our work with all vulnerable adults. Go to SAFEGUARDING for more information.
