We at Hope Baptist Church have always felt we are a strong ‘singing’ fellowship and that continues – our Worship Group helps to enhance the sound as they combine singers and instruments bringing a quality to our music which we feel helps to lift the worship week by week.
We use mainly the ‘Songs of Fellowship’ collection of songs which includes some traditional hymns but we do use an ever increasing number of contemporary worship songs, adding new songs quite regularly.
Worship song writers like Tim Hughes, Stuart Townend, Matt Redman, Keith Getty, Chris Bowater, Paul Baloche, Graham Kendrick, Reuben Morgan, Lou Fellingham and many more provide us with wonderful words of praise, hope, worship and joy, which can hardly fail to lift each person present to another level.
We hope we do these great songs and songwriters justice – certainly the Worship Group, currently made up of Piano/Keyboard, flautist, lead and bass guitars, drum and a small group of singers, work hard to bring the quality that God deserves into our worship and helps us as a church to more easily learn these newer songs.
It’s exciting times at Hope Baptist church generally and we hope it is exciting musically too.
Worship Group musicians and singers attend regularly most Friday evenings at 7.30 pm in preparation for the coming Sunday services. We believe our incredible God deserves the best worship we can offer.
Do come and join us Sunday by Sunday at 10.30 am as together, we share in bringing Him our praise and our worship, asking Him to fill us, use us, mould us, walk with us. We believe He is so worthy – look at what he’s done for us. This is the least we can do for Him.
And anyway, the music’s great!!
